Does StepSprite arrive ready to use?

How accurate is it for desk walking?
Section titled “How accurate is it for desk walking?”StepSprite is tuned for slow, steady desk walking, especially when your hands are busy and a wrist tracker would miss the motion.
It will never be mathematically perfect, because step counting never is, but it is built for this use case instead of ordinary wrist walking.
Does it only work on a walking pad?
Section titled “Does it only work on a walking pad?”No. Walking pads are the main use case, but StepSprite can count your regular daily steps too.
Do I need to keep my iPhone with me all day?
Section titled “Do I need to keep my iPhone with me all day?”No. StepSprite keeps counting on-device. Open the app later, near the device, when you want to sync.
How often do I need to sync?
Section titled “How often do I need to sync?”For most people, you do not need to think about it daily. The device stores up to a month of step history and backfills it the next time you sync.
Does StepSprite write to Apple Health automatically?

If you do:
- steps are on by default
- distance, calories, and workouts are opt-in
Is there an account or cloud dashboard?

Why do Apple Health totals sometimes differ from the StepSprite app?
Section titled “Why do Apple Health totals sometimes differ from the StepSprite app?”Because Apple Health uses source priority when more than one device writes the same metric. The StepSprite app can be correct even if Health is still prioritizing another source.
What if I only want StepSprite for walking-pad sessions?
Section titled “What if I only want StepSprite for walking-pad sessions?”That works fine. Start and end a manual workout when you want a clean indoor walking record, or just wear StepSprite all day and sync later.
