Pairing and Connection
Fast checks first
Section titled “Fast checks first”Before you try anything fancy:
- make sure StepSprite is charged
- keep the device close to your iPhone
- make sure Bluetooth is on
- open the StepSprite app and stay in the foreground
If this is the first pairing
Section titled “If this is the first pairing”Use First Setup on iPhone and pay attention to the pairing prompt.
The app should:
- show nearby devices
- let you choose your StepSprite
- trigger the iOS Bluetooth pairing prompt
If iOS asks, accept it.

Add a screenshot showing the pairing list and the status area while the app is searching or connecting.
If StepSprite used to connect but now will not reconnect
Section titled “If StepSprite used to connect but now will not reconnect”Try this order:
- Charge the device.
- Bring it close to your iPhone.
- Open the app and wait a moment for reconnect.
- If the app offers a recovery rescan prompt, allow it.
- If needed, go to Settings and pair again.
Important pairing detail
Section titled “Important pairing detail”StepSprite uses standard “Just Works” bonding.
That means there is no PIN you need to type in manually.
If Bluetooth permission was denied
Section titled “If Bluetooth permission was denied”Open iPhone Settings for StepSprite and allow Bluetooth access, then return to the app.
When to stop and contact support
Section titled “When to stop and contact support”Email [email protected] if:
- the device never shows up
- it always disconnects during pairing
- pairing used to work but now fails even after charging and retrying
