Current platform support
Section titled “Current platform support”- iPhone app: supported
- Apple Health sync: supported
- Minimum iPhone app target: iOS 17 or later
- Bluetooth: required for pairing, live status, and syncing
Best fit use cases
Section titled “Best fit use cases”StepSprite is best when the motion is happening in your legs but not in your wrists.
- Under-desk walking pads
- Slow, steady desk walking while typing
- Pacing during calls
- Daily walking around the house or office
StepSprite is tuned for slow desk-walking pace, typically around 1–3 km/h or 60–100 steps per minute.
Apple Health expectations
Section titled “Apple Health expectations”- Apple Health access is optional.
- If you enable Health access, StepSprite writes steps by default.
- Distance, active calories, and workouts stay inside the app unless you turn those categories on.
- If you leave your iPhone on the desk, StepSprite still counts on-device and syncs later.
What is outside this knowledge base
Section titled “What is outside this knowledge base”This first version is intentionally iPhone-only.
- Android instructions are not part of this help center.
- The macOS companion is not covered here.
- Apple Watch setup is not required and is not the main StepSprite flow.
Physical and product limits
Section titled “Physical and product limits”- StepSprite is splash-resistant, not waterproof.
- Use standard
5VUSB-C power only. - Battery percentage is an estimate, not a lab instrument.
- Step counting is never perfect. The goal is to be much better suited to desk walking than a wrist tracker.
