Firmware Updates

Firmware updates happen from the iPhone app.

Open Settings → Firmware Update while the device is connected.

What the update screen shows

• current firmware version
• whether an update is available
• update progress during download
• update progress during install
• success or failure state

Customers trust firmware updates more when they know exactly what the screen should look like.

Before you start

Do these first:

• keep the app open
• keep the device close to your iPhone
• charge the device if it is below 20%

The app shows a low-battery warning for a reason. Do not ignore it.

During the update

You should expect two phases:

1. the package downloads to the iPhone
2. the app installs it over Bluetooth

It is normal for the device to restart at the end and take a moment to reconnect.

Complete firmware update flow

Add a short video showing the version check, the progress bars, and the reconnect after completion.

A simple walkthrough will reduce update anxiety.

If the app says it is up to date

That means StepSprite did not find a newer, non-deprecated firmware version for your device.

If the app says it is too old to update firmware

Update the StepSprite app first, then come back to Firmware Update and try again.
