Battery and Charging

Charging checklist

• Use USB-C.
• Use a standard 5V power source.
• Charge before long days if the battery is already low.
• Charge before firmware updates if you are below 20%.

What the warnings mean

StepSprite treats these levels as meaningful:

• low battery: around 20%
• critical battery: around 10%

At that point, the right answer is usually simple: charge it.

If the battery number looks odd

Battery percentage is an estimate. That means:

• a reading can still be useful even if it is not perfect
• early units may read a little high or low
• you should care more about trends than one exact number

This page works best when customers can compare their battery screen to a reference.

If StepSprite will not reconnect

A low battery can make reconnect behavior worse.

If pairing or reconnect suddenly gets flaky:

1. charge the device
2. open the app near it
3. try again after a few minutes

Charging modes in Settings

StepSprite supports:

• Auto charging mode
• Fast charging mode

Most customers should leave charging mode on Auto unless support tells them otherwise.

Care reminders

• splash-resistant is not the same as waterproof
• do not use non-standard chargers above 5V
• do not crush, bend, or open the device
