Device Tab
The Device tab is the fastest place to answer, “Is my StepSprite alive, connected, and behaving normally?”
What you will see
Section titled “What you will see”- battery percentage
- charging state
- signal strength
- device name
- firmware version
- connection mode
- device state
- uptime
- last update time

Battery
Section titled “Battery”The battery ring is a useful day-to-day estimate, not a precision tool.
If it looks a little high or low, that can still be normal. Use it for decisions like “charge tonight” or “safe to update firmware now.”
Signal and connection state
Section titled “Signal and connection state”You should expect:
- better signal when the device is close to your iPhone
- slower or less reliable reconnects when battery is very low
- different connection behavior depending on the selected connection mode
Firmware and version checks
Section titled “Firmware and version checks”The firmware row helps you confirm whether your device is current before troubleshooting more complicated issues.
If support asks for your firmware version, this is where to find it.
Connection mode and device state
Section titled “Connection mode and device state”The Device tab also shows:
- the currently applied connection mode
- whether the device is active, idle, or sleepy
- how long it has been running
That matters when you are debugging reconnect speed or battery behavior.
